Evening all,
Hope you are all well and doing ok in a week where no doubt you will have seen or heard about the fire at Bicester Motion and the sad loss of the brave firefighters, Jennie and Martyn, who lost their lives in the line of duty and Dave, a dear friend of Bicester Motion who also lost his life that night. All 3 of them have links to Bicester sports clubs, so the sporting community of Bicester has been hit hard by their loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those that have been affected by the events and as a tribute and sign of respect to Jennie, Martyn and Dave we will hold a minuteโs silence as a club before we start our speed session at Whitelands this Tuesday 20th May. Weโd love you to join us as Alchester unites to pay its respects.

Summer social runs return
The next summer social will be on Thursday 5th June. Please put this date in your diaries – more details will be communicated nearer the time.
For those that donโt know, our social runs replace our normal Thursday club run and are in a different location each time, with the routes tending to take in at least some countryside and ending with drink(s) (and sometimes food).
parkrun takeover
As you know, we are going to do a Bicester parkrun takeover on Saturday 7th June which will include providing all the pacers and marshals as well as a few other things.
Thank you to those who have already expressed a desire/willingness to help. There are still a few pacing/marshal slots needing to be filled, so if you’d be willing to help in some capacity, please let Gleds know asap.
We will also head to Esquires coffee shop in Graven Hill afterwards and so it would be great to see as many of you as possible whether that he helping or running. More details on the takeover in the coming weeks.

๐๐โโ๏ธ 5x4mins with 1 min float (jog) recovery. All will be explained on the night if youโre not sure!
Thursday 22nd May

๐ Bicester Leisure Centre
๐๐โโ๏ธ Summer routes across the fields in full force at various different paces – something for everyone.
