Hi,

Club Nights This Week

Tomorrow’s pace improvement is a bit complicated so might be worth writing it down.

– 1000m/ 5x200m
– 800m/ 4x200m
– 600m/ 3x200m
– 400m/ 2x200m
– 200m/ 2x100m
6000m of work 1 min rest on 1000/800/600 30sec on everything

Usual meeting of the railway end of Gavray Drive.

Again this week & everyone new, old & regular is encouraged to come along on Thursday. The more the merrier so spread the word.

Various groups from 7:10-7:15 miling all the way to a relaxed group. Biggest group is invariably either the 8:30’s or 9:30’s so groups for everyone.

Simple rule is each runs for 50-55 minutes in a chatty manner (save your PB’s for races!).

2024 AGM Notice – next Thursday

The 2024 Alchester AGM will be on Thursday 08 Feb at The Littlebury Hotel at 20:30.

We will meet at the sports centre as normal & then decamp to the Littlebury. Normal club runs.

All are encouraged to attend. We are always looking for new people & fresh ideas for the club committee. There’s no need to commit to role prior to understanding what might be involved but as the saying goes “many hands makes light work.”

Thank you to all those who have given their time & efforts this year.

Important – please let Lewis Long know your best Bicester Parkrun time since November 1st 2024 & he’ll update the scores on the doors. Bumper turnout on Saturday which was great to see.

We now move into the Buckingham Parkrun this quarter (Feb – April). Best time to count.

Have a good week & we look forward to seeing lots of people on Tuesday & Thursday.
