There’s a number of key messages we need to communicate this week so expect to see one each day this week. It’s that time of year when lots going on & coming up.
London Marathon Club Entry – Presented at Awards Night
Alchester have been allocated one entry for next year’s London Marathon in April 2024.
Throughout the year the club is asked to provide volunteers and marshals for various events such as mota-vation series and cross country etc. Our club also needs volunteers, whether that’s acting as a guide runner at a club session, erecting the XC tent, or helping at our own 5k event. We simply encourage people to get involved with the club and take part in the club championship.
If you wish to be in the draw we follow these guidelines:-
– You must have entered the main ballot and received a rejection email.
– You must be a club member when entering the ballot.
– You must be a club member when the 2024 London Marathon takes place.
– You must have run at least three club championship races, season 2022/23 (only one park run counts).
– You must have helped the club at least once since the 2023 membership began (see above).
– You must wear the club shirt at the marathon unless you are wearing a charity shirt.
The draw is open to 1st claim members only and will take place at the end of season awards on November 10th which you are encouraged to attend.
If you would like to enter the ballot please complete the simple form below and send your rejection email to firstname.lastname@example.org

Perpetual Awards – Your chance to vote – Presented at Awards Night
As well as the club championship awards we also have the perpetual awards that are voted for by you the members. It’s your opportunity to recognise someone for a performance, a personal achievement or going above and beyond to help the club. It doesn’t need to be the fastest runner but an achievement you think deserves recognition.
