🏃♀️🏃 Alchester 5k 🏃🏃♀️
On the evening of Wednesday 14th August, the club hosts its annual 5k race in Marsh Gibbon. For further information go to: Alchester Running Club Events
To ensure that this event is a success, we need the help of all of our club members, family and friends. Any profit made goes to charity and back into the club to help our membership fees stay low.
We need around 40 marshals – so please let Mike Fisher know if you (or a family member / friend) can help.
Remember if you want to enter the London Marathon ballot at the end of the year, then you need to have volunteered for the club at least once – so now’s your opportunity!
The race is fast, flat, and sold out in 2023 so if you want to run then go to: Alchester 5k 2024 Entry
🏃♀️ 🍻 Social Run – Fringford – Thursday 23rd May 🏃🍷
Our next social run is on Thursday 23rd May & will replace the usual club session. We will meet outside the Butchers Arms White at 6:45pm. The route is 5 miles of mixed terrain.
If you plan to attend please email social@alchester-runningclub.co.uk / respond on Spond so we have a rough idea of numbers.
The run is focused on social so no pb’s, just a good opportunity to run somewhere different and have a chat.
We will have various paced groups so don’t worry about your pace, everyone is welcome.
Arrive at 6:45pm for a prompt 7pm start.
Bring some spare clothes and see you in the pub afterwards for a drink.
Please note this replaces the club run from the sports centre.
Club Championship 2023-24 🧮
The table for the club championships has been updated following the plethora or recent races.

Lots of entries opening up now for races in the next few weeks & months. Otmoor being one, Cotswold Classic & Waddesdon is imminent.
Next race is Motavation #2.
Don’t forget we’re now on to Aylesbury Parkrun & please ensure you get your time into Lewis for Buckingham.
🔔 Buckingham Parkrun – Bank Holiday Specials
As so many Buckingham Parkrun’s got cancelled we’re giving 2 bonus opportunities to post a time for the club championships.
This Saturday (bank holiday weekend & the end of May bank holiday weekend) you’ll have 2 final chances.

We’ll try & meet for coffee after at Manor Farm which is at the far end of the course. You can park there & have a run down & run back.
