hi,

Well done to the small band who braved the bogfest that was Cirencester yesterday.

Jingle Bells – 14Dec23

Final social run of the year – Jingle Bell Run = Thursday 14th December.

Our annual jingle bell run will be Thursday 14th December at 7pm. Meet outside The Bure Farm at 6.50 pm fully decked in your finest festive outfits; with extra lights (it makes the ‘elf and safety people happy when we are all highly visable!)

We will then explore the bright lights of Bicester in one big group on a slower (so layers please if it’s particularly cold), chatty, festive adventure.

Obviously we’ll need to warm back up so we will head back to the Bure Farm for a defrost and festive tipple, from about 8pm, for those who just want to join for a Christmas drink after.

Friends, newcomers all welcome. No PB’s!

There’ll be no meet up at the Sports Centre but will be back there on the 21st.

County Cross Country & January Oxfordshire League – Horspath (7Jan24)

If you are wanting to enter the league & compete for Alchester from January onwards then the deadline is December 22nd to update the link:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16FwFohnaxZaGmvRtAdg4mozayOR-bNvcJW7yxWzcASE/edit

Pay £12 to the club who will then pay your entry fee.

If you do not wish to compete in the league but want to run in the county championship as a one off this forms part of the Horspath race & again the deadline is this Sunday by reply to the email. Cost for this sole race is £8 but your position will only count in the county race & won’t earn points for the club in the league. Again pay the club who will then make a bulk payment.

If you’ve already entered the league you don’t need to do anything!

If none of this makes sense speak to Alasdair, Simon or Gary asap. There will be an update about county champs & some changes for 2024 (there’s a phd available for understanding them!).

Please do not put anything up on Facebook about wanting to enter as it may not be seen. Reply to the email only & remember no pay, no play policy in place.

Race times are 11:20 for the men & 12 noon for the ladies with distances about 9k.
